Where does ignorance come from? It’s not always an individual’s fault that that they are ignorant. Is it ignorance if you don’t know you are ignorant about something?

When does ignorance become a problem you ask?

It becomes a problem when an individual or a group of people are fighting passionately for something they don’t know all the facts about.

Social media today causes people to not read up on events going on in the world. Why read a whole article on a current event when you can read 70 facebook statuses on it? Or tweets, because whoever is tweeting about an event has to know the answers, right? People put too much faith in the social media. Don’t accept another person’s opinion just because you are too lazy to come up with your own.

Read a book, play outside, enjoy life a little. Learn from your community and the people around you. Grow, change, teach each other, live, laugh, cry, fight for something, be yourself, don’t apologize so much, work less, play more, love more, hate less, be fearless, try. Try anything. Give more and expect less. Expect less. Entitlement is over rated and deserves a punch in the face. Thinking someone else will do it is the best way to get nothing done.

Ignorance comes from a closed mind. Ignorance is taught and accepted. Ignorance is believing you have the answers and there is nothing else out there but what you know.

Why are people so afraid to be challenged? Even more so, why are they afraid to fight?

It’s never too late to start learning. It’s never too late to grow. It’s never too late to be a better you. Don’t be fooled, being a better you is not just for the sake of you…it’s also for the sake of anyone who may cross your path.

That’s just my opinion.
